Emirates has announced Emirates will showcase a fully electric Premium Economy seat for its A350 at Arabian Travel Market 2026, held from September 14 to 17. The airline announced the presentation on September 10. The confirmed change is the public showcase; Emirates has not said that the seat has entered passenger service.
Privacy is the main feature
The seat includes an adjustable divider covering the full height of the seat. Emirates describes this as an industry first. The design is intended to create a more enclosed seating position in Premium Economy, while remaining part of that cabin rather than being presented as a separate class of service.
The divider is part of a broader seat concept built around adjustable use. Preset positions for lounge mode and meals are included, giving the seat distinct configurations for resting and dining. Emirates has not provided further operating details for those settings, so the presentation establishes the available positions without explaining how passengers will control or adjust them.
Charging and entertainment are built into the seat
The proposed layout combines wireless charging with USB-C charging. It also includes a 13.3-inch 4K HDR screen. These features address two practical parts of the Premium Economy experience: keeping personal devices powered and providing a larger onboard entertainment display. They complement the privacy divider rather than replacing the need for physical separation.
Emirates is also presenting a wider service package alongside the seat. The listed elements include a welcome drink, amenity kits, meals served on Royal Doulton porcelain and a broad selection of specialty drinks. Those details describe the experience being shown at ATM; they do not confirm that every element will be identical on every future flight equipped with the seat.
The ATM presentation does not confirm routes or bookings
Emirates' ATM 2026 event page places the stand in Sheikh Saeed Hall. The stand includes meeting areas for more than 130 visitors and partners at one time. Emirates also planned to finalize agreements and deepen cooperation with more than 30 partners, including tourism boards, technology companies and travel organizations.
That wider programme gives the seat reveal a place within Emirates' ATM presence, but it does not answer the questions travellers need for an actual journey. Emirates has not announced an aircraft rollout date, routes, fleet availability or booking access. Travellers therefore cannot treat the showcase as a new bookable Premium Economy option.
For now, Emirates has defined the cabin concept rather than announced a fleet deployment. The A350 Premium Economy seat combines electric adjustment, a full-height adjustable privacy divider, lounge and meal positions, wireless and USB-C charging, and a 13.3-inch 4K HDR screen. Its impact on real itineraries will depend on when, where and how Emirates deploys it.
